Saba Power Plant
288 MW barge mounted power plant Karachi, Pakistan
Planning, designing & top site supervision of civil works comprising foundations for fuel tanks, buildings, 660 ft. long 36 ft. wide Jetty in sea, sheet pile wall, and outfall at coast, barge mooring structure, roadways, services buildings, switchyard civil works, services trenches for cables/pipes, and miscellaneous structures including foundations, gate house, laydown area etc. and establishing requirements and specifications for dredging works. Scope of work includes the design of jetty structure against the force of pull due to heavy wind loads. The system was devised to provide pile foundations under each pier and soil springs were applied at each cross section where the soil and subsurface data change. Three-dimensional model of the structure was analyzed against 500tons pull while restricting the crack width criteria within permissible limits. |
